I know this is really early to post this, but I can't hide my excitement. I finally had my blood test today and it came back positive!!!! In fact the nurse said it was very, very positive. So positive that I can stop taking the progesterone and estrogen. I'm going back on Tuesday and Friday for blood tests, just to make sure the HCG levels keep going up. We'll have an ultrasound 3 weeks from know and they should also determine how many babies are cooking.
As if the blood test was lying, I also took some home pregnancy tests!

Pressure!
I'm feeling a little more pressure for this to work. I got a call from Austin IVF on Thursday and they informed me that 5 remaining embryos didn't make it to freezing process. 2 of them didn't progress past the 4 cell phase and the other 3 didn't make it past the 8 cell phase. So now I really hopes this works because I really don't want to go through that whole process all over again!! Only a few more days until the blood test........

All those shots led up this big event....
I had my egg retrieval yesterday! Here's the quick high level overview....
- 11 eggs were retrieved (lower then we thought)
- 7 were viable enough to fertilize (lower then we wanted)
- Had to do ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection)
- All 7 eggs fertilized! (much higher the expected)
- Embryo transfer scheduled for Monday or Wednesday
For more details, read my other blog.
